The session will give you an overview of why the Perinatal Support Service is needed, understanding how widespread mental health issues in the perinatal period are, and how support can make a difference. This will include an overview of the service offer, service delivery and a case study to explore what peer support can achieve.
By attending the session you will:
- Gain a better understanding of perinatal mental health
- Understand more about the power of feeling heard, why and how peer support can make a difference
- Know the service offer, and how to refer
The Better Start Bradford Virtual Live Learning Sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about the Better Start Bradford programme from our broad range of partners, and apply this learning to your work and the broader ‘Babies, Children and Young People’s Prevention’ agenda.
We welcome you to explore the other topics on offer during May-July 2024 and to book places on as many sessions as you’d like. All sessions are free and held via MS Teams.
These events are designed for practitioners and students in public, voluntary, education, arts and any other organisations who work with and support families, plus anyone who wants to know more about our work in the Bradford district.
