Since 2015 Better Start Bradford has provided projects and services for expectant families and families with children aged 0-3 in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton, to help give children the best start in life.
We're now sharing what we found out, to help others continue this crucial work.
We know the earliest years are critical to a child's future
That's why we've dedicated a whole decade to working with families from pregnancy to a child's fourth birthday, helping them lay good foundations that will last a lifetime.
We wanted to find out what worked and are now sharing it across Bradford and beyond, focusing on:
- Diet, nutrition and healthy physical development
- Social and emotional development
- Speech, language and communication development
- Systems change
