Join the Early Intervention & Prevention Team from Staying Put for a session around the dynamics of domestic abuse.
They will share information about the Healthcare-based Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (HIDVA) role and how it meets the aims of the Better Start Bradford programme. The session will include:
- Facts about domestic abuse
- The cycle of abuse
- The impact abuse has on the unborn baby and the pregnant woman
- How domestic abuse impacts on parenting / children
- A case study / example of their work
The Better Start Bradford Virtual Live Learning Sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about the Better Start Bradford programme from our broad range of partners, and apply this learning to your work and the broader ‘Babies, Children and Young People’s Prevention’ agenda.
We welcome you to explore the other topics on offer during May-July 2024 and to book places on as many sessions as you’d like. All sessions are free and are held via MS Teams.
These events are designed for practitioners, volunteers and students in public, voluntary, education, arts and any other organisations who work with and support families, plus anyone who wants to know more about our work in the Bradford district.
