Virtual Live Learning Session: An Introduction to Autism and Neurodiveristy

Bitesize learning session

For the maternity and early years workforce, volunteers and students

Wednesday 12 June 2024

10.00am - 11.30am

Online via MS Teams

Join Philippa McCann from Bradford Early Advice Team (BEAT) run by Airedale and Wharfedale Autism Resource (AWARE)

This session is a light touch introduction to autism and neurodivsersity.

Philippa will be:

  • Busting some of the more common myths
  • Signposting to great resources for you to explore further
  • Challenging people to consider their own views and ideas around autism and neurodivsersity

These sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about the Better Start Bradford programme and hear from experts from partner organisations across the Bradford district, so you can apply the learning to your work, studies or volunteering activities and the broader ‘Babies, Children and Young People’s Prevention’ agenda.

We welcome you to explore the other topics on offer during May-July 2024 and to book places on as many sessions as you’d like. All sessions are free and held via MS Teams.

These sessions are designed for workforce, volunteers and students in public, voluntary, education, arts and any other organisations who work with and support families, plus anyone who wants to know more about maternity and early years work in the Bradford district.

If you have any questions regarding these sessions, please contact [email protected]
