Perinatal Support Service
Emotional support through 'listening' sessions from trained volunteer peer supporters during pregnancy and the first year after birth
Are you pregnant or have you given birth in the last year?
-
Would you like someone to talk to and confide in?
-
Would you like to be able to share your thoughts and feelings, and offload?
-
Are you worried or anxious about being a parent?
-
Would you like to meet other local mums and families with babies?
-
Have you had previous times when you felt anxious or experienced low mood, and would you like support with this?
The Perinatal Support Service can match you up with your very own trained volunteer peer supporter who is there to listen to you, gently encourage you to take action and help you get support from other local services.
You can also take part in group sessions with other mums to help you bond and communicate with your baby. You may wish to work directly with one of the perinatal co-ordinators to help manage your mental health, your emotional wellbeing by building resilience and improving mindfulness and self care”.
This service is for expectant families and families with children aged up to 1 living in the Better Start Bradford area
