Student Placement Workbook

T Level Education and Early Years

During the first 1001 days, the early years workforce is key in ensuring that prevention and early intervention support is timely and effective. For this reason, Better Start Bradford has been committed to developing the early years workforce, and that includes members of the future workforce like you.

This workbook has been designed to help expand your knowledge and link theory to practice whilst studying T Level Education and Early Years, and will complement the work you do whilst out on placement at various settings.

It contains lots of information, signposting to a wealth of resources, a number of fact-finding missions to increase your knowledge and enhance your understanding, plus activities so that you can put what you’ve learned into practice.

The workbook is designed to be printed off and taken with you as you complete your placements, with room to write answers, thoughts and complete the activities. The activities will guide you towards all the links and resources further down this page.

We wish you all the very best with your studies and future careers, helping children get the best start in life.

Be enthusiastic. There's a lot to be learnt! Ask lots of questions and be mindful of the things you can take back to improve outcomes and make a difference.

I enjoyed the Better Place project - it was lovely to engage with the community and see how people benefitted from it.
