Free, friendly feeding support in your own home or over the phone
Are you pregnant or do you have a baby under 6 months?
-
Are you thinking about breastfeeding or are struggling to breastfeed?
-
Would you like someone to talk to?
You’re not alone. The Breastfeeding Support Project is a listening ear and a helping hand when it comes to all things about breastfeeding and mixed feeding (breast and bottle feeding).
You can contact the team anytime between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday on 01274 287968, and between 9.00am and 5.00pm Saturday on 07903 174429 to ask questions or request support. A friendly support worker will arrange to visit you at home, support you over the phone or even via video call, all at a time to suit you. Support is available in different languages including Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati and Hindu.
This service is for expectant families or families with babies under 6 months across the Bradford district through Start for Life.
I didn’t know a service like this existed and I can’t believe you were able to see me so quickly – and on a Saturday. I was very anxious and worried and feel much more reassured. I know I can contact you again when I next need help.
Thank you so much. Without your help I just wouldn’t have continued to breastfeed – I would have given up.
The Breastfeeding Support Project is delivered by Health for All
