The Better Start Bradford Communications and Marketing Team is celebrating (albeit remotely) after winning Nursery World’s Online and Social Media award. They were awarded it at the online ceremony on Thursday 4 February.

The judges described Better Start Bradford’s online presence as key to the programme’s work in “getting messages and information out to the local community and workforce”. They were impressed with how the online platforms were used to “raise awareness, educate, promote projects and activities and interact with key partners.”

Michelle Thompson, Communications Manager at Better Start Bradford, said: “It’s so lovely to have our work recognised and we are absolutely thrilled to win this award. We would like to thank the wider Better Start Bradford team for supporting us, Nursery World and all our projects and partners.”

Helena Vannerley, Event Organiser from Nursery World, said: “The Nursery World Awards are delighted to be able highlight the work undertaken by Better Start Bradford, as our judges said: ‘The online and social media provision is truly excellent across channels. Immersive, supportive and very parent focused’. We could not imagine a more deserving winner for our 2020 award.”

The Better Start Bradford programme is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, using National Lottery funding to help children in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton get the best start in life. They provide over 20 projects for pregnant women and families with children aged under four.
