Virtual Live Learning Session: SEND in Bradford and Airedale
Bite-size learning session
For practitioners and students in public, voluntary, education, arts and any other organisations who work with and support families.
Thursday 10 October 2024
10.00am - 11.30am
Online via MS Teams

Join Joanne, Named Nurse For Special Educational Needs and Disabilities at Bradford District Care Foundation Trust for an informative session around SEND.
This session aims to ensure you will have an understanding of SEND and SEND legislation, and the importance of Early recognition – Changing Conversations (iHV ambassador). It will also cover referral routes and support options to consider. By the end of the session we hope participants will:
- Be aware of SEND legislation and need in the locality
- Feel confident to have conversations around SEND with families
- Understand local support for families
The Better Start Bradford Virtual Live Learning Sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about the Better Start Bradford programme from our broad range of partners, and apply this learning to your work and the broader ‘Babies, Children and Young People’s Prevention’ agenda.
We welcome you to explore the other topics on offer during October to December 2024 and to book places on as many sessions as you’d like. All sessions are held via MS Teams.
These events are designed for practitioners and students in public, voluntary, education, arts and any other organisations who work with and support families, plus anyone who wants to know more about our work in the Bradford district.–
