MECSH (Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home Visiting): The theory and practice of delivering structured home visits to mothers and their babies.
A reflective discussion on how the MESCH programme aims to promote the emotional and social wellbeing of mothers and their babies.
The programme offers to set the foundations for a positive life trajectory with early health promotion and interventions to improve outcomes for families in Bradford.
This session includes a theoretical explanation and introduction of the programme from the MECSH Implementation Champion and a Health visitors personal experience of delivering the programme using tools to assess and track the success of the programme.
The messages conveyed from this session will include an understanding of the importance of offering an enhanced service to families in Bradford to:
- Improve parenting abilities through practical parent/child engagement.
- Improve health outcomes through play, establishing healthy routines.
- Improve the quality of the home environment to promote learning and development.
