Lights in the Park (Peel Park)

Teddy Bear Themed Lantern Parade for families with 0-5s

For families with children aged 0-5

4.00pm - 6.30pm

(Meet at large black gates) Peel Park, Cliffe Road entrance, BD3 0LT

Cecil Green Arts and Better Place present an evening of lights in the park. From 4pm there will be a lantern parade for families with 0-5s. Bring your teddy bear along as there is a teddy bear theme.

Gather at the Peel Park Bowling Hub at 4pm for a mini lantern parade through the park. Discover the magical wonder of the park at night, lighting up the darkness and singing with your teddies around the fire barrel.

There will be:

  • Free hot chocolate for children (if they bring a reuseable cup)
  • Music
  • Singing
  • Puppetry
  • Fire juggling
  • Amazing light displays
  • Make your own lantern
  • Create teddy art master pieces

Please bring a torch to see your way and then light the trees.

Lantern Making Workshops prior to the Lights in the Park event will be taking place on:

Friday 19 January – 1-2.30 – Chas @ St Vincent, Rees Way, BD3 0DZ
Saturday 20 January – 11-1 – Peel Park Bowling Hub, Cliffe Road, BD3 0LT
Saturday 27 January – 11-1 – Peel Park Bowling Hub, Cliffe Road, BD3 0LT
