Baby Week Bradford is taking over City Library’s children’s library to launch Baby Week Bradford 2024!
This very special story-themed play day – from Bradford Libraries and friends – will bring your child’s favourite books to life with related play activities – including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Stick Man and Where’s Spot – and will show you different ways to share and enjoy books with your babies and young children.
There will be story and rhyme time sessions throughout the day, a sensory/quiet zone and light refreshments. BoomChikkaBoom will also be on hand to lead everyone in the Baby Week Wiggle, plus ballet sessions from Babyballet Bradford (11.00am and 1.00pm)!
No need to book – just drop in anytime between 9.30am and 2.30pm. A lovely way to start Baby Week Bradford, right in the heart of the city…
Please note that there will also be a shuttle bus provided to take you to and from the Wiggle Room Play Bus at Farcliffe Family Hub. Car seats are required on the shuttle bus.

Catch the bus from Mayfield Centre with our Community Engagement Team!
If you’re local to the Mayfield Centre (Broadway Avenue, BD5 9NP) you can catch the bus down to City Library with our lovely Community Engagement Team:
- Meet Arian and Sofia in the lobby at the Mayfield Centre between 9.30 and 9.45am
- They will walk with everyone to the nearest bus stop on Manchester Road, catching the bus at about 10.15 into the city centre (£2 for adults, children under 5 free)
- They will walk with everyone to City Library to enjoy the Storyland Play Day event
- They will make the return journey to Mayfield at 1.30pm

Highly enjoyable event. Lots of examples of activities with babies that are free and doable!
We go to a lot of events but they’re not always suitable for young ones. This has been great for my nephew - he really enjoyed it.
