Do you want to do something amazing? Our Home-Start Better Start project is looking for new volunteers.

If you would like to become a home-visiting volunteer supporting families in the Better Start Bradford area, this is your chance!

The course will take place face-to-face over 7 weeks but may change to online subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

Then volunteering with Home-Start Better Start could be the start of a fabulous new journey for you in 2022.

The volunteer preparation course starts on Tuesday 25 January 2022 and will run for seven weeks on Tuesdays as follows:

The schedule includes:

Welcome, Introduction and role
Values & attitudes; Communication
Supporting parents & meeting the needs of children
Confidentiality and diary sheets
Safeguarding children
Bringing the course to a close & expenses
Catch up session

Each volunteer will need to have completed an application form (including providing contact details to obtain two references) had an interview and provided documents for a DBS check.

The sessions can be easily accessed using a phone or laptop and an invitation will be sent by email weekly.
