£250 available for summer events again

Up to £250 available for a one-off summer event for families with under 3s to help promote the uptake of free early education and childcare for 2-year-olds

Statutory and voluntary sector organisations can apply for up to £250 to run a one-off summer event for families with an emphasis on promotion of free early education and childcare for 2 year olds.  We have funding for organisations/groups in the Better Start Bradford area (Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton) to run a summer event/activity for under 3s.

Activities must focus on helping children:

  • Eat well and be healthy
  • Talk and communicate well
  • Be confident, friendly and understand their emotions and behaviour

The application process is easy:

Please email:

Helen Rush at [email protected] or
Helen Hall at [email protected] or
Zaibun Nawaz at [email protected] with the following details:

Details of what the activity is that you want to run – what you are planning, date, time, indoors or outdoors?
How much money is being requested?
The number of families projected to engage in the event.
How you will promote two-year offer – for example leaflets shared, signposting to nurseries, early years settings and Bradford East Family Hub. (We will supply leaflets to hand out)

Deadline for applications is Friday 24 June 2022 at noon

You will hear if you have been successful by Friday 1 July 2022. There will be no formal monitoring requirements, however, if people get permission and want to share photo’s with Better Start Bradford that would be appreciated.
